Heavy-duty natural gas generator sets for sites without a reliable grid

500 kW prime / 550 kW standby — 625 kVA — built as a natural gas package package for mid-size industrial and site power.

Plants in industrial zones frequently run on generated power for the whole working day. This 500 kW silent set (625 kVA prime, 550 kW standby) is rated for that continuous duty rather than short standby use. Continuous running puts the emphasis on cooling and fuel system stability. The KTA19-G8A engine is matched to the 500 kW rating with a closed water-cooling circuit and a large-capacity water tank, and each unit is load-tested on our production lines.

Every unit is assembled and load-tested on our own production line for the 500 kW class. A factory set usually sits inside or beside the production building, so the enclosure is lined to keep radiated noise down. The silent build measures 4,800 × 1,380 × 2,240 mm and is protected to IP23 or higher. Shanghai Outevo Machinery Co., Ltd. has manufactured diesel and gas generator sets since 2006 from a 20,000 m² manufacturing facility, and more than 2,000 sets have been delivered to over 100 countries.

Protection on the 500 kW set is IP23 or higher, upgradable for dusty, humid, rainy or high-temperature sites.

Heavy-Duty Natural Gas Construction

The 500 kW package is delivered assembled on its base frame, so installation inside or beside the production building is limited to positioning, fuel connection and cabling.

500 kW Prime / 550 kW Standby Duty

Design duty at 500 kW prime and 550 kW standby is continuous running through the working day, which is why the alternator and cooling system are sized for sustained load rather than short standby duty.

Tier-1 Natural Gas Engine Platforms

The engine is drawn from the Cummins, Perkins, Weichai and Yuchai platforms and matched to the alternator before full-load testing on our own production line.

Closed Water-Cooling with Forced Fan

Closed-circuit water cooling with forced fan and a large water tank is specified because a plant set runs for whole shifts and cannot rely on short cooling recovery periods.

Industrial Protection and Environmental Adaptability

Sealed dustproof, waterproof and anti-corrosion treatment to IP23 or higher, uprated for foundry dust, humid areas or high ambient workshops.

Flexible Configuration and Fast Deployment

ATS, remote monitoring, cable winch and quick connectors can be specified so the set can be redeployed between bays or buildings as the plant layout changes.

1. Production lines and machine tools Carries the whole working-day load of the plant where the grid supply is either absent or too weak to run the line.
