Heavy-duty natural gas generator sets for sites without a reliable grid

500 kW prime / 550 kW standby — 625 kVA — built as a natural gas package package for mid-size industrial and site power.

Industrial plants need power for process equipment, not just for lighting and offices. This 500 kW silent set (625 kVA prime, 550 kW standby) is specified for process and utility loads together. Process loads are motor-heavy, so the set is sized against starting current as well as running load. The KTA19-G8A engine is matched to the 500 kW rating and each unit is load-tested on Outevo production lines.

Every unit is assembled and load-tested on our own production line for the 500 kW class. In an industrial environment the enclosure has to cope with dust and heat as well as noise. The silent build measures 4,800 × 1,380 × 2,240 mm and is protected to IP23 or higher, upgradable for dust-laden or high-temperature areas. Shanghai Outevo Machinery Co., Ltd. has manufactured diesel and gas generator sets since 2006 from a 20,000 m² manufacturing facility, and more than 2,000 sets have been delivered to over 100 countries.

Protection on the 500 kW set is IP23 or higher, upgradable for dusty, humid, rainy or high-temperature sites.

Heavy-Duty Natural Gas Construction

The 500 kW package is built on a rigid steel base frame and delivered assembled, so it can be set down in a plant room or beside the process area without further fabrication.

500 kW Prime / 550 kW Standby Duty

Design duty at 500 kW prime and 550 kW standby is process support with motor-heavy loads, so starting current rather than running load usually decides the sizing.

Tier-1 Natural Gas Engine Platforms

The engine is drawn from the Cummins, Perkins, Weichai and Yuchai platforms, matched to the alternator and load-tested before shipment.

Closed Water-Cooling with Forced Fan

Closed-circuit water cooling with forced fan and a large water tank is specified because industrial ambient and dust reduce cooling margin at this rating.

Industrial Protection and Environmental Adaptability

Sealed dustproof, waterproof and anti-corrosion treatment to IP23 or higher, uprated for dust-laden bays, humid process areas and elevated ambient.
