Heavy-duty containerized diesel generator sets for sites without a reliable grid

1200 kW prime / 1320 kW standby — 1500 kVA — built as a 40HQ container package package for heavy industrial and project power.

A data centre cannot accept an outage in the middle of a transaction. This 1200 kW containerized set (1,500 kVA prime, 1320 kW standby) is specified as the standby source for IT and mechanical loads. Standby duty in a data centre means long idle periods interrupted by a hard step load. The KTA50-GS8 engine is matched to the 1200 kW rating with a closed water-cooling circuit, and every unit is assembled and load-tested on Outevo production lines.

Every unit is assembled and load-tested on our own production line for the 1200 kW class. The containerized build is lined with sound-absorbing material so the set can sit close to a technical building without breaching site noise limits. ATS, remote monitoring and paralleling schemes are configured to the specification. Shanghai Outevo Machinery Co., Ltd. has manufactured diesel and gas generator sets since 2006 from a 20,000 m² manufacturing facility, and more than 2,000 sets have been delivered to over 100 countries.

Protection on the 1200 kW set is IP23 or higher, upgradable for dusty, humid, rainy or high-temperature sites.

Heavy-Duty Container Construction

The 1200 kW package arrives as one unit with the enclosure, base frame and control panel already assembled, so installation work on site is limited to positioning, cabling and commissioning.

1200 kW Prime / 1320 kW Standby Duty

Design duty at 1200 kW prime and 1320 kW standby is standby operation with a hard step load, which is why the alternator is matched against starting kVA rather than running kW alone.

Tier-1 Diesel Engine Platforms

The engine is drawn from the Cummins, Perkins, Weichai and Yuchai platforms and aligned to the alternator before full-load testing, which is the test that proves the step-load response.

Closed Water-Cooling with Forced Fan

Closed-circuit water cooling with forced fan and a large water tank keeps coolant temperature stable during long idle periods interrupted by sudden load, a pattern typical of data centre standby.

Industrial Protection and Environmental Adaptability

Sealed dustproof and anti-corrosion treatment to IP23 or higher, with fire-system and alarm interfaces available so the set integrates with the building life-safety scheme.

Flexible Configuration and Fast Deployment
